Colombia is nicknamed the “gateway to South America” as it connects with Central and North America. It is the fifth largest country in Latin America and home to the world’s second largest population of Spanish-speaking people. Colombia is full of cultural mixes, making the country’s foods, music, dance, and art diverse and unique. A land of extremes; through its center you can find  the towering, snow-covered volcanoes and mountains of the Andes while tropical beaches line the north and west coast!

This trip is available for ages 10 years and older. Those under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Price does not include domestic or international airfare.

Sample itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Cartagena and journey to a private house to settle-in, enjoy a team meeting and rest up for a beautiful week of service.

Day 2 – Meet and play with the local children.

Day 3 –  A fun filled day on an immersive cultural excursion (example: enjoy the beautiful beaches on Tierra Bomba Island, go snorkeling, or explore the old town in Cartagena) followed by market shopping.

Day 4 – An amazing day giving the gift of new shoes.

Day 5 – Participate in an unforgettable activity before departing to the airport.

*This sample itinerary will change between now and the trip depending on our group and in-country partner’s availability. S4S will provide a final itinerary closer to the trip.

What do we do during the trip?
Each trip is different and unique. Our focus is providing footwear to those in need while spending time merging cultures and building relationships. On our trips, you will have the opportunity to experience and learn about a different culture first-hand.
How much does it cost to go on the trip?

Cost varies upon destination. They typically cost between $1,500 – $2,750. All payments and donations for trips are tax deductable.

Payment Schedule:

  • $250 non-transferable deposit due at the time of registration to secure your spot on the trip (Your deposit fee is included in the overall cost of the trip)
  • 1/3 cost of trip is due 90 days prior to the trip
  • 2/3 cost of trip is due 60 days prior to the trip
  • Total cost of trip is due 30 days prior to the trip

What’s included in the cost of my trip?
Lodging, meals, ground transportation, security, guides, excursion fees, travelers insurance, entry and exit fees, welcome package and materials, and a portion will go to offset the cost of shipping shoes.
How do we ensure safety on our trips?
For each trip, Soles4Souls partners with local leaders and organizations to plan and execute every detail of your trip. A travel coordinator will lead each trip along with a local guide from each country. Accommodations differ for each country and these are stated on the specific destination page. Accommodations are one of the following: hotel, guest home, community center and medical clinic. All food and water provided is safe to eat and drink.
What documents do I need?
A passport is required. Prior to your trip, you will receive a detailed information packet including an itinerary, history and cultural facts, recommended immunizations, packing list and helpful tips to assist you in preparing.
